Alexandra Hart | West County

Alexandra Hart’s classic Native Funk and Flash: An Emerging Folk Art was groundbreaking in it’s time for it’s focus on the craft and creativity behind much of the fashion and art of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Filled with color images of amazing examples of past and present textiles, apparel, accessories, home objects and even architecture the book showcased an incredible aesthetic that remains a touchstone for the era. This copy is a reprint from a small reprinting done several years ago by Hart. The original book is currently out of print. Alexandra was kind enough to hand-sign the copies exclusively for Edition Local. Her goal is to raise enough money to one day to reprint the book again for generations to come.
