Susan Hall | West Marin

Kaliska is a Miwok name meaning "coyote chasing deer." This small plate by ceramicist and painter Susan Hall of Point Reyes Station is thrown and then hand-painted. Earthy and rustic, with a central motif that connects abstract forms with the cyclical motion of life, the Kaliska Plate is ideal for a snack or side salad. Susan is inspired by the mystery of Northern Californian landscapes, so it is no surprise that this plate recalls the wilderness, its movements, and its geometries. A special edition of the Kaliska Plate was created for Edition Local.
