Travis Meinolf, Action Weaver, will teach you how to set up a small back-strap loom and weave a piece of cloth in this afternoon workshop. After the class you can take home the cloth, take home the loom and keep creating! Travis will show you some simple plain weave patterns and tapestry techniques once you master the basics.
Please bring yarn or prepare to purchase some on site. To see the process you can view Travis’ video on actionweaver.com to see the whole process in advance.
In addition you will be fed a delicious vegetarian lunch, all while overlooking the Pacific Ocean from a secret residence in Bolinas located on the Little Mesa. Please bring sun protection and a hat, as it may be warm and sunny. Please also bring a coat or sweater just in case it’s on the cooler side. It’s the Bay Area! However you slice it we will be eating and weaving in a gorgeous yard overlooking the ocean!
Space is limited.
